Mindfulness

See the golden sun and grey clouds.
Feel the slight, moist breeze on your skin.
Smell the coming rain and freshly cut grass.
Hear the chirping of the birds and crickets.

You can sense these even in crowds
regardless of where you have been.
You can still absorb all of them en masse;
nature's show for which you need no tickets.

These sensations are mindfulness;
awareness of what's around you,
taking it in without making judgement,
brain and body connecting with their truth.

They represent genuineness
that waits for profound to break through
to your soul and your inner contentment;
granting a spiritual fountain of youth.
