Summer sliding silently
and swiftly into Fall.
Fall's fingers flick the switch
and start turning the leaves.
Summer seems so reluctant
to surrender control.
Fall is eager to ascend
Cooler nights, rain returns.
Summer still interrupts Fall
with occasional hot days.
Fall outs eventually
Summer has now succumbed.
