Recalculating Poem

Like a GPS I find
myself recalculating
constantly reevaluating 
changing course and direction.
Sometimes I even crash.

I get off course easily
and sometimes I get lost
and it usually comes at great cost.
The voice that is guiding me
Is often quite abrupt.

I'm not sure how to change that;
I don't come with free updates
to download to my innermost traits.
To build a new inner map
Will take a lot of work.

I hope that you are patient,
know that I am trying.
I want you to see me applying
myself to making progress
I'm sorry it's so slow.
